The master bedroom should be simple in decor and have calming colors so you feel rested
in that space. Think about repainting the room in neutral walls. House paint is the biggest ban for your dollar.
Look through magazines at the home improvement center to get ideas.
Invest in painters tape and  good tools. Clean your roller and brush well after the job is done to insure more use later.
If possible move the bed to another wall.
Take away anything from the room that distracts from a calming environment.
Give your wood furniture a good clean with an appropriate wood oil.
This will bring new life back into the wood.
Furniture dries out in the winter when the heat is turned on.
